Overview
Through the finance program, you'll learn to connect economic theories to real world applications. You will study areas of corporate and international finance, plus a wide range of subdisciplines such as investment, cost control, financial modeling, and financial environments. You will learn how macroeconomic and market conditions guide business decision making, and you will become conversant in the language and tools that financial managers use.
Coursework and seminar will prepare you to launch a career in any facet of the financial sector, including banking, insurance and brokerage firms, or the corporate world, among others. Or you may pursue a graduate degree, including a valuable MBA/MSc. The choices are yours.
Upon completion of the finance program, students will:
- Demonstrate the analytical and problem solving skills needed to solve complex challenges in finance.
- Calculate and interpret quantitative data effectively.
- Evaluate evidence systematically in developing solutions to finance problems.

Course structure
Learn how to effectively assess and guide the financial operations of an organization. This concentration provides essential insights into the key financial levers of an organization. It’s ideal for professionals looking to help management direct the organization to optimize its value for both employees and other shareholders. A bachelor's degree at KIMT is three years (180 credits) and consists of various learning activities:
- General education courses (45 cr.)
- Business courses (70 cr.)
- Concentration courses (30 cr.)
- Elective courses (20 cr.)
- Capstone course (15 cr.)

General education courses (45 cr.)
9 courses cover compulsory modules such Evolution of Global Business, Business Mathematics and Computer Fundamentals & DBMS as well as elective courses - Professional Development & Career Planning, Sociology, Quantitative Methods, Business Ethics, etc.
Business courses (70 cr.)
14 courses which discuss Management, Accounting, statistics, Financial Management, Operations Management, Information Systems in Enterprise and Logistics and Supply Chain Management etc. courses.
Concentration courses (30 cr.)
6 courses consist of modules- Finance specialization refers Corporate Finance, Financial Institutions and Markets, International Finance, Banking & Finance etc. courses.
Elective courses (20 cr.)
University selects 4 elective courses for the students. Public Speaking, Research and Academic Writing, Psychology and Social Responsibility.
Capstone courses (15 Cr.)
A business administration related independent research project and industrial seminar that allows applying theoretical knowledge for solving practical problems.
What You'll Study
PROGRAMME SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- In order to qualify for the studies in KIMT University an applicant must have secondary school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course
- An application describing Why are you interested in this program.
- English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.
Assessment and verification
We assess both the theoretical and practical elements of the course. Assessment is through written assignments, a profile of evidence of teaching standards and observed teaching. All modules within this program are internally assessed by approved center and externally verified by KIMT University. To achieve a pass for a module, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. Judgment that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the Assessor. The Assessor will provide an audit trail showing how the judgement of the learners’ overall achievement has been arrived at.
METHOD OF ASSESSMENT
Knowledge, understanding and intellectual skills are assessed through a combination of course assignments and presentations. The weighting for the final overall assessment for each course taken shall be as follows:
- 90% Assignments
- 10% Presentation and viva
At the end of the program each student also submit a research project paper

The program is studied 100% online through the virtual learning platform with tutor support.
